How can I order items that aren't listed on your website?

Don't panic! There are a number of ways you can do this; You can either click on the Contact us link and send us details of the product or service you require, or log on to our Live Chat during office hours and chat to one of our experienced staff. Alternatively we love speaking to our customers, so contact the team on 0121 233 2413 and we will be more than happy to advise you.

I've placed an order, however there is no stock. What happens now?

Items that are out of stock will be put on backorder and then posted as soon as they become available. We will notify you of an expected date or offer you an alternative, either by telephone or email. We do not charge extra postage for items that aren't in stock, as a gesture of good will.

I would like to order a Wedding Ring that isn't showing in your range. Is this possible?

If you require a wedding ring with a certain width or finger size that isn't showing in our range, do not hesitate to contact us. You can do this by calling 0121 233 2413 or speak to one of our experts on our Live Chat which is available during office hours. If you can't find it, Betts will!

Can I send in my precious metal scrap to you?

You certainly can! We have over 250 years experience of refining precious metals and are experts in processing clean scrap, sweeps and lemels. Why do I have to register to buy online?

Can I purchase online on monthly credit terms?

If you already have an account with Betts Metal Sales, you can utilise this option in exactly the same way as you would when visiting our trade counter or phoning through an order. If you don't have a monthly account with us, then please download the account application form and we can give you an answer as to whether you are eligble within 24 hours.

Do you operate metal accounts?

Yes we do, as long as you have a monthly account with us. We can deduct the intrinsic value of the order from your metal account, the manufacturing and fashion charges will then be charged to your monthly account. You can top up your metal account by either sending in scrap metal or by purchasing fine metal on the next available fix.

Is my credit or debit card secure when making a payment?

We have gone to great lengths to ensure your security is paramount. We have security systems in place that mean our server encrypts all of your information. Your details are not stored anywhere on our web system and we have never had a report concerning fraudulent card use due to prior dealings with Betts Metal Sales. What forms of payment do you accept?

We welcome, Visa, Mastercard, Delta, Maestro and Solo cards. Please be aware though, that all transactions are validated and if you are a new customer requesting a high value order, you may be asked for cleared funds via bank transfer.

How do you work out the postage costs?

The total amount of postage charge will depend on the service, the weight and the value of the goods you have ordered. We can offer; the standard posting services, Recorded and Registerd before 9am, 1pm and also Saturday delivery. Charges for these do vary, so please contact us for full details.

Do you accept international orders?

We welcome any international orders whether it be from Europe, or further afield. We do have a maximum weight of 2 kilos and delivery would take approximately between 2-4 working days for Europe or 4-6 working days for the rest of the world. Does Betts Metal Sales sell the information it collects about customers to outside parties?

Betts Metal Sales does not and will not sell, rent or trade our customer details to outside parties. We never pass on your personal details to anyone, ever.

What if I want to return goods?

All goods must be returned in their original condition within 30 days of purchase to Betts Metal Sales, 49-63 Spencer Street, Hockley, Birmingham B18 6DE. You should include in the return the invoice or a covering letter, detailing the reason for return together with a copy of the original invoice. You also should state the action required - such as refund or exchange.

Special order items, such as cut bullion or finished wedding rings will not be eligible for return.
