Can I send in my scrap to you?

You certainly can! We have over 250 years of experience refining precious metals. As the price of precious metals changes twice a day and we want to be assured that we are offering the best possible deal, we dont publish our scrap prices, either contact us through our live help or contact link or call us on 0121 233 2413 and one of our experienced members of staff will guide you through the process. We are experts in processing, clean scrap, sweeps and lemels.

How is product ordered that isn't listed on the Betts Metal Sales website?

There are a number of ways. Click on the contact us link and send us details of the product or service you are looking for or click on the live help button during office hours and we will try and source the product for you, or click on the "can't find it Betts will" box and type in your request or lastly we love to speak to our customers, so contact Helen on 0121 233 2413 and we will do our best for you.

Who are Betts Metal Sales?

Betts Metal Sales is a member of the Stephen Betts Group. The original family business, specialising in smelting and refining bullion, was founded in Birmingham's jewellery quarter by Alexander Betts at the dawn of the Industrial revolution in 1760. Now with its ninth consecutive generation in the business, the Betts family has been directly associated with the recovery of precious metals and the jewellery industry for nearly a quarter of a millennium.

Account questions

Do you offer metal accounts?

Yes we do. We would open a monthly account for you, subject to terms, and invoices would then be for manufacturing and handling charges only, and the intrinsic metal would be deducted from your metal account, to deposit metal, simply send us your scrap or alternatively we can buy on the next available fix for you and credit to your account.

How can I open an account to pay on monthly terms?

It is easy to apply for a Credit Account. Please call and ask for a form to be sent in the post, or you can download one from the Betts Meral Sales website. complete the form and send the original back to our Birmingham address for the attention of the Credit Control Department. We can often give you a decision within 48 hours.

How long do I have to pay?

Payment terms are set up when you open an account. Typically, payment for any invoice is due by the end of the month following that invoice, e.g: an invoice in March will be due on or before 30th April.

If my account is overdue, will you stop my order

We pride ourselves on delivering a customer experience that is focused ont he relationship built b etween you and Betts Metal Sales. The credit control department evaluates each case of a flagged order with careful consideration. We ensure that we attempt to contact you on the same dayt he order is placed. We will listen and try our best to accommodate you wherever possible.
